2 weeks ago I saw a website which had a whole suite of benchmarks for Azure, Amazon, etc. They created a test harness that would run in an Azure compute instance or EC2 instance and then access the data from Azure storage, S3, etc. They also ran it in multiple geo-locations. The cross service throughput speeds were interesting, especially the hit different geo-locations had.
I'll try and dig the article up over the weekend. But here is a website that has throughput tests for Azure storage, SQL Azure, etc. http://azurescope.cloudapp.net/BenchmarkTestCases.aspx -David Burela ________________________________ From: ozazure-boun...@lists.codify.com [ozazure-boun...@lists.codify.com] On Behalf Of David Connors [da...@codify.com] Sent: Friday, 16 April 2010 11:10 AM To: ozAzure Subject: Re: CloudDrive performance benchmarks On 16 April 2010 10:11, Steven Nagy <steven.n...@readify.net<mailto:steven.n...@readify.net>> wrote: I haven’t but I know that some guys were using Lucene.Net on it and getting “acceptable” performance for what they were doing (effectively indexing every blog in existence).
