I use a CODE keyboard (Cherry MX green) and absolutely love it.It's got the numeric keypad, backlight etc. . This will be a keyboard for life.
I also have a wireless mechanical keyboard but it was forever draining batteries. I have (wired) mechanical keyboards on every computer in my house (I work from home), and going back to the cheaper keyboards is no longer an option as they all feel so horrible to use.
