Hi,

You need to have copies (backups) of your web.config in order to avoid this
message. Restore the web.config at the same time you restore the DB and all
will be well.

Subject: Help

Hi everyone,

I have just restored a content DB from one server to another but somehow there
are web-parts that show “not registered as safe” error although I’ve correctly
deployed the DLL to GAC and register them in web.config respectively.

What’s more interesting is, if you go to the page that has the broken web-part,
edit it and re-add the exact same web-part, it appears. So there is no reason
really why it’s not registered as safe.

What have I missed? Is this an expected behaviour (ie. You have to re-add the
web-part one-by-one manually on every page)?

Cheers,
Tommy
