The last MS Innovations day I went to stated; "that once the demand for Office365/BPOS (and cloud services in general) etc grew enough they would look at putting in a local data centre in Australia". Until then the closest to us is Singapore. The redundancy/backup site for Singapore 'is' Hong Kong (Each main Data centre site has a separate physical backup site).
