It uses the SoH (Statement of Health).



On Windows machines you'll find a Network Access Protection service which sends 
health info (Winows Updates up to date, AV on, etc) to RADIUS/DHCP.  The RADIUS 
server used by PacketFence (freeRADIUS) supports SoH.

Page 56 in admin guide has more detail.

How does packetfence know that a client workstation is acting up?  For example, 
how can it tell that a workstation's antivirus might not be up to date?
