Please try to install PAR 0.92 using the "cpan" tool that comes with 
Perl. It should install a binary compiled for 5.8.8 from CPAN. If that 
fails or you are really uncomfortable with the "cpan" tool, then try 
installing the PAR-588 PPM package from Randy Kobes. The repository is
