I've migrated from webware to pylons myself.  The nice thing about going
with paste it makes it pretty easy to integrate any wscgi app into your
web applicaiton.  For example I've got a single app where I've
integrated my pylons stuff with moinmoin all served from the same paste
server.  As for mod_webkit, paste makes it eaiser, you get all kinds of
choices for integrating with apache.  I've used mod_sci (apache 2.0.x),
lots of people use mod_proxy and my current favorite with apache 2.2 is
mod_proxy_ajp.  have fun
