I'm curious. What voices are you thinking about? I'm using TextAloud with both AT&T Natural Voices and Scansoft. I'm pretty sure that TextAloud will work with any MSAPI 4 or MSAPI 5 TTS. What voices does Dspeech work with that TextAloud doesn't work with? Does Dspeech come with better voices with the program? I know you have to pay extra for AT&T Natural Voices or Scansoft when you purchase TextAloud, although anyone running JFW 8 or higher should have the Scansoft voices.
