I'm still not able to get Goldwave to record.  I have been using the ctrl+F9 
and ctrl+F8 keystrokes.  I miss typed that in my original email.  There are 
only 2 things listed in the combo box for record device ... primary ssound 
capture driver and microphone/line in sigmatel high definition audio codex.
