I just found another audio interface that may be what some of us are looking
for.  It is the Cakewalk V-Studio 100.

The description sounds a lot like the Edirol FA-66 but with inputs and
outputs plus hardware mixer with motorised faders and daw controls on the
top.  It even has some built in hardware effects and can be used stand alone
or with your computer.
