There's a larger issue too. In Max, sliders, toggles, etc. pass integers through even if they're out of the nominal range of the object; I just recently noticed that in Pd the IEM GUIs clip pass-through values to the range of the object. I'd love to change this but it would probably break 100s of patches so eventually will probably have to make this an "option" somehow.
