The Epson design is sometimes a problem because of the print head nozzle design. They clog when dry. Epson does recommend a small amount of warm water to clear them. (At least they did with my old Stylus Color 400, almost as old as the Stylus Photo.) If one's household humidity level gets too low in the winter months and printing is seldom, they can clog regularly. It's a problem.
