Hi all,

I've been off the list for some time. I need an digital camera that will be convenient to use on a microscope. My question is has anyone on the list used an *ist D for this?

If looking for 5X - 10X photography or so, a microscope lens (with a RMS mount adapter) or a reversed 8mm or 16mm cine lens (with a reverse mount and some step-up rings), fit on a swing bellow can give you some control on DOF.

The problem is that Pentax doesn't make a swing and tilt bellow. Minolta and Contax do. I bought a Contax one, and plan to have a K mount fit to it. The Pentax and Contax mounts have the same dimensions (K mount was conceived by an Asahi-Zeiss joint venture) and it will be rather easy with some dremel work to change the mount and small screws searching. I will loose lens mount locking and any diaphragm automation, but I will be able to mount it on a K body.
