it depends on what kind of story you are trying to tell. if you wanted to
give the perspective from the audience, then this picture does it. if you
want to show another point of view, it didn't. i think it is fine if you
want to place the viewer in the audience watching her.

Thanks for your comments, Shel and Paul. I agree with the microphone
part. Both this and the last photo of this series were taken at a
venue where my shooting options were limited. Other than taking
photos from this angle (on either side), my other options were to move
directly in front of her, where the mic would obscure her face even
more.
