Shel : When I said I was amazed at the quality, what I meant was I am amazed at the quality considering I am just shooting the negs with a digital camera and inverting them in PS. I recognize that using a scanner would be a significant improvement but for a quick and dirty grab of these shots using a non conventional capture device for this purpose, the quality is pretty damn good.

I only looked at six pics, and to my eye, the quality is terrible,
especially for 4x5 negatives.  Sorry, not at all impressed.
