Yes, that's ot encouraging for people living in cold countries. But maybe
clutch mechanism makes AF 2x better than in other lenses in +50C? :-P
BTW - if it makes you feel better - USM motors used in pro Canon lenses tend
to freeze too, but at -55C according to Andy Rouse:
