After properly applying black tape over it, I shot with the K10D today. Still couldn't get a real memory card, so I'm using a slow 256MB one, and shooting jpegs.

Very nice! I set 1/250s, f4.5 in the shadow, and let the meter change the iso. I'd change aperture and shutter speed according to the light, but knowing that the meter would compensate with the iso. Great. I love this camera. The controls are very well laid out, and it took no time to get used to them. It responds fast, and I didn't miss any pictures because the camera was asleep (it has happened with the istD.) The only two things I'd change are the size (I like smaller cameras) and the right strap lug. I couldn't pass my favorite leather Spotmatic strap through it, and I'm using a synthetic one. No big deal, I suppose. The second frame is a more proper street picture. Cleaning your lens is a good idea when shooting into the sun though--there's a bit of glare: http://photoblog.jbuhler.com/index.php?showimage=643 j -- Juan Buhler - http://www.jbuhler.com photoblog: http://photoblog.jbuhler.com a book: http://www.jbuhler.com/book.html -- PDML Pentax-Discuss Mail List PDML@pdml.net http://pdml.net/mailman/listinfo/pdml_pdml.net
