A multicoated filter does not reduce flare other than produced by the filter itself. Multicoated lenses are usually wholly multicoated so that also the internal surfaces are multicoated - but all surfaces may not have the same number or similar types of coatings. Actually the internal reflections are the most detrimental to image quality but even a single coating reduces these significantly. So you may like to test the Konica lens and see for yourself.
