Been there, also, Larry. Ask a question about the operation of the foreign 
little compact you get.."hey, you're the photographer!" Hiding my chagrin, I 
follow with "OK, everyone look this way and smile." 
If I got everyone in the snap, I hand the p & s back and melt away. 
Thankfully, an infrequent event. Ah, fame! ;))
