My K-5 has been kicked about for years, traveled by motorcycle all over the place and endured hideous weather on Grandfather mountain, the White Mountains of New Hampshire (tolerating temperatures of -9 Fahrenheit) and rain storms in the Italian Alps. And this is the first problem I've encountered, so it would be churlish to complain about it at this point. Never the less, it'll have to go in for repair so I'll probably be bringing the Sony A850 kit to GFM this year.
