Incidentally, today they've replaced the image.
I am reading BBC news on a (semi-) regular basis, - mostly via
the phone's app (which essentially displayes what is on the website).
I am very disappointed by the quality of the editorship (including
proofreading). I've used to think better about BBC.

The article is accompanied by a stock picture of a horse, which is helpful
because nobody has the slightest idea what a horse looks like. A bad picture
editor would have chosen to show at least Kyrgyzstan's national dish,
something we're all familiar - perhaps even overfamiliar - with.
