I agree, f/1.8 is not fast enough.  I frequently need that extra 2/3 stop.


Samyang lenses are reportedly good, but they are not AF. (And I don't
remember if they are FF. Not that it matters for at this time, ... until
I got K-1).

Some Samyang are FF. I recently picked up the 24/1.4 for night landscapes and it is a very nice lens. If Pentax just cherry picked the Samyang lineup, added autofocus and their new coatings, they could instantly have a great range of lenses.

Pentax also does not have an 85/1.4, 35/1.4, or unfortunately a full frame 50-135/2.8 which would be close to the ideal lens for a lot of my indoor sports work. Actually, I'd be happier with about 35-40 on the wide end, and would be able to give up a little on the long end and crop in post.
