I have the older version of it with the permanent lens hood. It's a
great lens for the money, arguably a great lens even if it cost more. I
bought it as a novelty, but used it surprisingly often.
The old one isn't quite so wonderful on full frame with the permanent
lens hood so I've not used it for a while.
