Hi Alan - I was company accountant for Solomon and Co, at that time the biggest
company on the
island - general merchants, doing just about everything! Not sure which car
was carrying the video
camera - could even have been my old Zephyr, No. 289.
This part of the island is the driest, but building there is encouraged by
government, and it is
only a five minute drive from Jamestown - or 4 minutes down Jacob's Ladder if
you are brave enough!

Interesting. More civilized that I thought. What on earth did you do there for
4 years? The
cinematographer's car was apparently a real rattletrap!

I think the car buffs here might appreciate this. The link leads to a short
video of a drive from
Jamestown to Half Tree Hollow, which was a large part of my daily drive to and
from work when I
lived on the island, 1967-69

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=70pRc-004Kw

Road rules there included that cars coming down the hill had to give way to
those coming up - as, of
course, most of the cars at that time, being of English manufacture, were
under-powered!
My car was a 1966 Ford Zephyr, a bit more powerful than most.
