Here is the standard explanation of why top posting is bad
Why I hate top-posting
A: Because it messes up the order in which people normally read text.
Q: Why is top-posting such a bad thing?
A: Top-posting.
Q: What is the most annoying thing in e-mail and USENET?
Until eternal September, interleaved replies, with added cruft
deleted, were considered the proper and polite way to respond to email
or usenet posts.
annsan replies... just to be clear...
Wonder how much reading and sending email using a phone presents a
problem.. I have frequently seen emails sent to
list where the person who quotes something from someone elses post gets
credited or blamed for the original person's
post... most frequently here people misattributing photos to someone
else... .
another thing that happens is the link to a photo being discussed has
been stripped off by someone's server .
Whenever I have correspondance with ebay customers, or other business
stuff, they insist on top posting.. "please respond above the line" The
form in ebay messages is set up that way.
I blame society
