Here is the first shot from my K-70 with my new smc Pentax-D FA Macro 100mm lens. It is far from ideal as I have only begun to learn this lens, especially getting the focus and depth of field where I want them. I wanted to experiment with my bleeding heart, which is just past its peak and is in perpetual shade. It is, however, my flower bed favorite (side note - as a floriculturist I have ten brown thumbs). I have never before owned a macro lens. With 35mm film I used diopters or, decades ago, an HCE Vari-Close-Up lens, which was optically inferior to a single diopter, but darned convenient.
