so we went to the nearby Historic Museum Town, Pilgrim's Rest, for Lunch. The Town has its origins in
a gold rush in 1878 & was soon inhabited by hordes of Delvers. All the buildings were of wood
& corrugated iron constuction. The town gets its name from a Delver known as The Pilgrim who
found a huge nugget & declared that "The Pilgrim can now rest". The town is now

The 12 images in this album give some idea of the ambience of the place. The
descriptions are on the images. Normally there is a continual stream of tour buses
bringing in masses of tourists every day but they have dried up because of Covid
& the Tourist Traps are struggling to stay afloat.
