When I am raising my Monarch larvae, they get to a point where they devour large amounts of milkweed leaves every day. Monarchs are milkweed eating machines, and they are also pooping machines! This poop, called frass, is expelled as little dark green blobs. To keep the larvae healthy, one must clean out the cage daily.
