For those interested in Peirce's contributions to experimental psychology and its connection to the work of Fechner this looks like an excellent reference.  The book is called The Wave Theory of Difference and Similarity.  I have not read it myself but have been skimming some of it on line.  If you go to this site you can read the pages on Peirce's work.  Good stuff!
