Back during the Bush years, I wrote a little (unsigned) editorial for The
Nation citing Summers' paper on the topic (joinly authored with his wife,
Victoria Summers). When The Nation's factchecker called Summers to see if
I'd quoted him straight, he exploded, saying he didn't want his work
politicized - and this was while he was still at Harvard (i.e., before he
joined the World Bank). Duh, well why'd you write it, Larry?

I don't get this. What does Larry S. have to do with Asian prosperity, and
what does prosperity have to do with prostitution?
