Afro-Asia and Western Asia are both identifiers I've heard that locate according to widely accepted regional names, rather than in relationship to England. England is not (!) the center of the globe. And even if it were this would be weird, for e.g. Palestine is as much to the West as to the East of England. So "Middle East" is completely unhelpful in terms of locating anything.
