I just got a press release announcing a protest. The event itself is so luscious that I can't resist passing it on. On June 29, 1997, 6 PM, Waldorf-Astoria NYC, the United Jewish Appeal will present its Humanitarian of the Year Award to...Rupert Murdoch. Making the actual presentation will be that great humanitarian, Henry Kissinger. Word in philanthropic circles (though not in the press release) is that the UJA is making this award because Murdoch and his media outlets are great friends of Israel.
