Hi, I had this problem in that I had both oracle 8 and 9 libraries on my box. You need to install DBD::Oracle against the one you are using by setting the environment variables to version of the oracle client you are using to connect e.g. ORACLE_BASE=/usr/local/Ora8Inventory ORACLE_HOME=/usr/local/oracle-8.1.7.0.1 and then make sure that this is in LD_LIBRARY_PATH=/lib:/usr/lib:/usr/local/lib:$ORACLE_HOME/lib
