For the Perl QA Hackathon 2011, the YAPC Europe Foundation lended the
organizers its bank account, to make it easier to receive donations and
pay our expenses. The fact that I was both the YAPC Europe Foundation's
treasurer and the main organizer of the QA Hackathon helped a lot. ;-)
Here's the final budget for the Perl QA Hackathon 2011:

Mongueurs de Perl + 300.00 EUR = 9740.00 EUR

Catering + 331.12 EUR
Bank fees + 96.44 EUR = 8678.69 EUR
Balance

Income 9740.00 EUR
Expenses - 8678.69 EUR = 1061.31 EUR
Of course, YEF doesn't want to keep the balance from the hackathon,
so it will be donated in full to the organizers of the QA Hackathon 2012.
They happen to have a non-profit organization that has its own bank
account (Les Mongueurs de Perl), so the transfer is only a few clicks
away. :-)
