Hi,
While we didn't hold irc meetings in the past few weeks, there was still
progress on the QA Hackathon organization. A few things were said on
irc too, even though there weren't any meetings planned...
Progress:
- mdk managed to get DuckDuckGo to agree to sponsor 1000 USD
- everyone seems to agree that it would be great to have a tradition of
surplus money getting to the next qa hackathon budget
- elbeho will look at the cost of getting an account in USD for the
French Perl Mongueurs, to avoid paying conversion fees more than once
- elbeho has started the steps to get a Paypal account for the French
Perl Mongers
- we have found another french company that could be a potential
sponsor, and we had a phone call scheduled with them on Dec 21
- from that call, we got 3000 EUR of sponsoring! Thanks Diablocom!
- Hedera Technology sponsored 200 EUR. Thanks!
- we got a first quote for a hotel just in front of the venue.
Even though they have rooms that can hold 3 or 4 people, these
rooms include one or two double beds. At 100 EUR / night.
- elbeho will call another hotel this week, that should be cheaper,
and be able to provide rooms with twin beds, while still being within
walking distance
- BooK has sent invitations by email to the people listed on the wiki

have the money):
