Hi, There's a post on comp.lang.perl.modules asking about the same thing - only, this time, in regard to 'sqlserver.exe'.
Not all files carry any of the info being sought. Perhaps it's just that these 2 files are in that category, and the error is simply these files' way of responding to the request. To check whether the problem file does carry the info you seek, right-click on it, select Properties, and then look for the Version tab. If the tab aint there, then (as I understand it) the info doesn't exist. If it *is* there, then click on it to see just what is being provided.
