Bin,
I'd use yaz-marcdump for this. It has the option to convert MARC to MARC-XML, and it will be very fast. https://www.indexdata.com/yaz http://www.indexdata.com/yaz/doc/yaz-marcdump.html --Dave ================== David Walker Library Web Services Manager California State University http://xerxes.calstate.edu ________________________________________ From: Zhang, Bin [bzh...@csus.edu] Sent: Friday, August 19, 2011 1:51 PM To: perl4lib Subject: MARC21 to MARCXML for Primo? Hi, I am a newbie with the perl MARC::Record module and related libraries. I wonder if you can help with this task: We recently acquired Primo from Ex Libris as our discovery tool. We are an Innovative Millennium library. If you have done conversion and transformation from Millennium exported MARC file to MARCXML that can be imported into Primo, can share some of your ideas and/or scripts, offline? Thanks! --- Bin Zhang Digital Information Services Librarian Library 3501D Library Systems & IT Services, University Library California State University, Sacramento 2000 State University Drive East, Sacramento, CA 95819-6039 (916) 278-5664 (O); (916) 278-3891 (F) bzhangAT csus DOT edu
