Does anyone have experience with or an opinion on freezing Japanese lacquer ware? The object in question is a Japanese festival chariot from the 1980's, comprised of a number of different materials, some of which are black lacquered wood. The composition of the lacquer has not been determined (we don't know if it is Urushi or not), but at this point of time it is in very good condition.
