How about we omit the message when -q is specified, and people without altq add that to their /etc/rc after they've seen it for the first time? If you went all the way to remove altq from GENERIC, chaning rc slightly doesn't seem to be much of an additional burden, right? You'd also prevent the 'pf enabled' message with -q, would that be much of a problem? I doubt anyone will run pfctl -e -v in anticipation of that error, and printing it with -q seems doubly wrong to me :) Daniel
