My most recent attempt choked at one point, but I *think* that's because
my attempt to load Magritte might be flawed. I might tweak Migrate (my
own answer to building images) to save after critical steps in the hope
of avoiding lots of lost time when things don't go well.
You may want to have a look at Lukas' load scripts [1].
