From: kentaro at ranvis dot com Operating system: Windows PHP version: 5.5.3 Package: SPL related Bug Type: Bug Bug description:SplFileObject->valid() should not return false when it reached EOF
Description: ------------ PHP document says that SplFileObject->valid() checks if a file pointer is not at EOF, just like SplFileObject->eof(). But since SplFileObject implements Iterator, valid() should not return false while the current element is valid. Test script: --------------- $f = new SplFileObject('php://memory', 'r+'); assert('$f instanceof Iterator'); $f->fwrite("line 1"); $f->rewind(); assert('$f->valid() === true'); assert('$f->eof() === false'); assert('$f->current() === "line 1"'); assert('$f->valid() === true'); // fails assert('$f->eof() === true'); -- Edit bug report at https://bugs.php.net/bug.php?id=65601&edit=1 -- Try a snapshot (PHP 5.4): https://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=65601&r=trysnapshot54 Try a snapshot (PHP 5.3): https://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=65601&r=trysnapshot53 Try a snapshot (trunk): https://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=65601&r=trysnapshottrunk Fixed in SVN: https://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=65601&r=fixed Fixed in release: https://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=65601&r=alreadyfixed Need backtrace: https://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=65601&r=needtrace Need Reproduce Script: https://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=65601&r=needscript Try newer version: https://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=65601&r=oldversion Not developer issue: https://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=65601&r=support Expected behavior: https://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=65601&r=notwrong Not enough info: https://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=65601&r=notenoughinfo Submitted twice: https://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=65601&r=submittedtwice register_globals: https://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=65601&r=globals PHP 4 support discontinued: https://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=65601&r=php4 Daylight Savings: https://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=65601&r=dst IIS Stability: https://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=65601&r=isapi Install GNU Sed: https://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=65601&r=gnused Floating point limitations: https://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=65601&r=float No Zend Extensions: https://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=65601&r=nozend MySQL Configuration Error: https://bugs.php.net/fix.php?id=65601&r=mysqlcfg
