Because there is no handy way right know to transform individual chapters into HTML, and as you get familiar with DocBook XML, you'll read it as easy as a HTML page in your browser. Much better then just reading, you can instantly correct errors, and need not switch back and forth from and editor and viewer. So IMHO after some time, you'll get as accomodated to the DocBook source, as you never need to see it in HTML before a commit. The used tags are as simple as paragraphs and file names, so there are no complex rendering tasks involved in displaying the text you added/modified. Goba
