the subject says it all... thanks for the help and let me know if you need more information to help with this. i am able to log in using the rootdn and password, and i'm able to copy entries, but can't edit any entries. is there an ldap configuration problem? also, when i click on phpldapadmin's "logged in as:" link, it tells me there is no user with that DN.
