Hello All phpldapadmin Users,

I have migrated all the users to my new LDAP server in Linux Fedora System. Now
i wanted to check after running the slapd server, whether this is possible to
authenticate the user-"ldapusr" by the LDAP server or not.

So this is what is i got after i tried using the command-"ssh........"

For your information, i have installed the openldap sofware using yum command.
And for your information, i have checked the user-"ldapusr" by using the
command -finger ldapusr, whose output is shown as below, the output of the
command-"ssh authdns.nits.ac.in -l ldapusr"

[EMAIL PROTECTED] sbin]# ssh authdns.nits.ac.in -l ldapusr

Subject: [phpldapadmin-users] Questions

a) what's a good list for a LDAP newbie? I need to alter my LDAP schema

to include an email address so that my users can login to Bugzilla via
LDAP, and as far as I can tell, we're using "PosixAccount" instead of
"inetOrgPerson" and therefore there is no "mail" attribute.

Can I use phpldapadmin to make the change? Can someone send me a quick
precis on how to do this?

b) I'd like to enable folks to login to phpldapadmin using just just
their username, but the configuration I inherited has the "admin"
 person
logging as "cn=admin,dc=example,dc=com" - and using that to create new
users, and so when I set it up that way, folks can't log in to that
 account.

Is there a way to get around this?

Regards,
Thomas Leavitt
