Folks, I started writing a translate utility a while ago, my plans were:
* Users could submit updated language text for their languages, * Other users could download "updated" language texts for their languages - they would get a mo or a po file (or both) * I would extract the the languages as I release a PLA version. Ive made progress on the utility, but havent yet * added user authentication * an approval type system, so that any users could submit text, and other users could rate/accept the suggested text (the suggested text would then be what is downloaded for inclusion in a PLA release). As I only speak english, I wouldnt know if somebody was submitting bad text for PLA messages - so I would be dependent on somebody else making sure the text was correct and appropriate. * added an extraction tool (for user download and for me to incorporate into a PLA release) Sadly, there arent enough hours in the day, so if there is somebody with some free cycles that would like to finish this tool (I'll happily still host it on my servers). Then let me know. What I've done so far isnt yet in CVS - but I'll put it there, so that it'll be easy for somebody else to develop from.
