yes, the displayed dn ensures a correct formating of the results displayed.

but, for the end user who doesn't know anything about LDAP directories, 
this doesn't make sense; he might ask for the employeeType attribute 
only (or anything else); then, if the filters isn't precise enough, like 
objectClass=*, the entries -with no employeeType- attribute are badly 
displayed.

moreover the title is a dn-link to the entry, so does the dn really has 
to be shown in the results?

Anyway, this is independent of my original question:
- advanced search with postalAddress=* gives some results
- simple search with postalAddress=* give the same ones
whereas
- simple search with postalAddress=foo_value gives nothing

any idea on this ?
