I have no doubt that I know very few about ldap, but I don't understand why with exactly the same ACL, just generating an index make them fails. Couldn't it be that the index is on the same attribute as the one used in the set clause ? One problem at a time, but you haven't said anything about the necessity of the "anonymous search" ACL I mentionned earlier on. Do you want logs ? Anyway, with your help, I now have (without the employeeType index) a working setting with the ACL I wanted.
