I believe you are talking about this patch:

and the correct setting would probably be:
ldapservers->SetValue($i,'server','custom_attrs',array('memberOf'));
as I want "memberOf" attribute to be shown as a normal attribute and not
an internal attribute. But this doesn't seem to be working.
Also reg. memberOf, from the documentation it seems that it is supposed
to work that way. But I have observed that it is not working as
expected. When I modify memberOf, it does not get reflected in the
members of that particular group (I even set memberof-refint to TRUE in
slapd.conf). So I am assuming that the memberOf implementation is buggy
at this point. But perhaps I am not doing sth right.
As I have already spent considerable time on this, I have decided to
stop pursuing a solution to this problem. Nevertheless, thanks for your
