Scott, I said in an earlier post that PLA only finds users by an anonymous query (when logging in with an attribute based login). This is actually not right - I was wrong :-|
In previous releases, if you login using attribute based login (as opposed to a DN based login) and if your LDAP server didnt allow anonymous queries (to find the DN using the attribute and values presented on the login form), you could specify a "privileged DN" in the login_dn/login_pass fields in config.php, and these details would be used to bind and find the user's details.
