Well, not exactly.

So, I have a group of people that I call "ldap-editors".  Those editors are 
allowed to edit only a very small subset of information - things like first and 
last name, department, title, etc.  Basically, the non-technical information in 
the directory.

There are hundreds of attributes to which they do -not- have access, and only a 
handful to which they do have access.

Rather than have a huge list of attributes that they're not allowed to see and 
which I'd have to constantly maintain whenever we add a new attribute to our 
database, I'd prefer to say "these users have access to a, b and c only, and 
nothing else".  And I'd rather do this in only one place - with the ACLs in 
OpenLDAP - rather than duplicating that information in two places.

I think for now I'm just going to have to keep using my home-grown custom PHP 
application that I've written for this.  Thanks anyhow!
